About Us

Mark, Patti, and Bekah are serving Christ as missionaries wherever God takes them.

Update: In Summer 2016 we began a medical furlough back here in the US. Please pray for Mark to be healed from his various injuries during our stay. You can always find our up-to-date contact information here. We will continue to publish newsletters, and our latest doings are always on our blog.

We have so much to be thankful for. Yes, we have been through a lot this last year, but we are grateful for life, love, friends and family, and our security being anchored outside our circumstances to the One who never fails us. He has seen us through, carried us, and has provided for us through the most difficult season of our lives. Because of your love, prayers and support, you have been His hands and feet to us and thousands of people. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We are happy to announce we have settled into a rental house in Albany Oregon for our medical sabbatical. We are in the school district of the school Bekah has been attending. She is now a sophomore here and loving being involved in drama and the arts. She is quite an amazing actress and we love being re-connected with her.

Mark has had 3 surgeries, 2 neck injections, MRIs, nerve conduction studies, and is now in Physical Therapy 2-3 times a week with a daily rehab routine. He still has unresolved neck issues of two bulging disks that we are dealing with and hoping therapy may improve. His focus is healing and recovery (which is very hard for him to slow down but his body is forcing him to but it can be frustrating and he is in a lot of pain).

Ministry has continued in the Philippines despite our absence. We have a handful of employees that continue to work full-time for Zoé International Ministries. And we still have students that we sponsor to stay in school and kids we support. We are in communication with them nearly every other day and continue to pray, advise, and hold them financially accountable. Here we are speaking often and reaching out to neighbors and at the school.

You may wonder if we still need donations to continue during our sabbatical. And the answer is YES. For the on-going work in the Philippines, Mark's medical bills, and the increased living expenses for being stateside this year. Our Christian counsellor in Texas said we were overdue for a sabbatical. He said, biblically we should have one every 7 years to help prevent burn out. And since it has been 12 years that we have been on the field he said we need a year of healing and it is well overdue. So here we are. We would love to reconnect during this time. Please email us, or give us a call or text, we would love to hear from you and what the Lord is doing in your life and how we can pray for you.

Thank you for your continued love, support, and prayers,

Mark, Patti and Bekah
